Is there ever a situation where top and bottom tracks may be necessary for a Bi-Fold Shutter
Yes there is; if If the panels are large and there are many of them.
For eample if the system has multiple panels which are wide and with a long drop, for example 800 mm x 1800 mm, and there is more than two panels joined together, then because of the weight, a track system may be essential.
For most applications tracks are not required especially since DIYShutters Paulownia timber is lightweight being only 2/3 the weight of foamed PVC and almost hlf the weight of aluminium shutters. If in doubt, contact DIYShutters for advice 1300 779 663
